Indian Recipe: Vada
|

A vada (or vadai, wada, vade) is a savoury South Indian snack.
Ingredients for Vada:
- 1/2 cup Moong Daal
- 1/2 cup Urad Daal
- 1 Onion
- 2 tsp Coriander
- 1 Green Chili
- 1/2 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
Directions for making Vada:
- Soak urad daal and moong daal for 2-3 hours.
- Grind daals into a coarse paste.
- Add finely chopped onion, salt, coriander powder, chili powder OR green chili, ginger and soda. Mix well and set
aside for 4-5 minutes.

Fry small spoonfuls of the mixture in hot oil.
