INDIAN RECIPE: Pea Pulao

Serves 4-5
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Ingredients for Pea Pulao:
- 2 cups rice, basmati
- 1 cup fresh peas, boiled
- 2 tsp oil
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- Water
Directions for making Pea Pulao:
- Clean, wash and soak the rice for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pot, sauté the cumin seeds till they crackle.
- Add the boiled peas and salt. Stir fry for a few minutes and set aside.
- Put water to boil in a big pot, cook the rice, drain excess water.
- Gently fold the peas into the rice and serve hot, accompanied by any curry dish.
