INDIAN RECIPE: Pita Bread

Ingredients for Pita Bread:
- 7 g dry yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- Salt to taste
Directions for making Pita Bread:
- Sift flour and salt and knead with yeast mixture until dough in smooth and elastic.
- Dive dough into 8 equal portions.
- Roll each portion on a floured surface into circles of 5 inch diameter.
- Cover all circles with a cheesecloth and set aside in a warm place for an hour.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 230 degree C until lightly brown and puffed.
- Pierce the centre of pita bread. Serve hot.
