INDIAN RECIPE: Khasta Orti

Serves 4-5
Preparation time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 10 to 15 minutes
Ingredients for Khasta Orti:
- 2 ½ cups while wheat flour
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp carom seeds
- 2 ½ tso sugar
- 1 ½ cups water
Directions for making Khasta Orti:
- To the sieve flour, add salt, sugar and carom seeds. Knead into a hard dough with water. Cover with a moist cloth and keep aside for 15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 10 equal portions and roll into balls. Dust and roll into 10 cm discs. Prick with a fork evenly.
- Bake the rotis for 8 to 10 minutes in a preheated 175 degrees C oven or till light brown in color.
- Serve hot, as an accompaniment to any curry dish or with any yogurt preparation.
